Mixed-Use City 混合都市

Cities speak through the accumulation of mundane daily activities. In actions as simple as arriving at school or visiting a favorite shop, city-goers reveal patterns of activity that speak volumes to the attentive observer. But the human element of the city is not constant, and some areas hold a rich variety in the patterns of human use while others contain a more limited range. We look at the diversity of human activities in different areas of the city, and we probe the connections that these areas have with each other. This reveals the areas within Shenzhen that are isolated from diversity, both internally and externally, as well as those that are connected to the city’s full range of human activity.

城市的言語形成於簡單的日常生活。平常如上學和購物，城市達人向細心的觀察者們揭示城市的本來面目。然而城市的人文要素並非均質：一些城市空間往往存在更豐富的多樣性，而另一些則相對孤立。 “混合都市”關注城市空間的混合利用和不同地區的活動多樣性，藉此展示深圳不同地區的活動模式。
